23-24 Tryout Dates/Info

The following dates are required for all cheerleader and mascot candidates. Those who have not submitted the tryout application and all associated paperwork by the deadline will not be permitted to attend (unless extenuating circumstances prevented the athlete from sending in paperwork on time, tryout will be at the discretion of the coach.) Attendance is mandatory. Any unexcused absence will disqualify a candidate from being eligible to tryout.**

On Thursday, March 9th tryouts will be judged by 3rd party UCA/NCA judges that have no affiliation with any coaches or candidates.

Monday, March 6th: 5:30-7:30pm (Multi-purpose facility)

Tuesday, March 7th: 5:30-7:30 (small gym)

Wednesday, March 8th: 530-730 (big gym)

Thursday, March 9th: Judged tryout day

3:30-5:30 (Current high school students will try out immediately after school)

5:30-7:30 (current middle school students immediately following HS tryout time)

Freshman tryouts will begin around 5:30, but cheerleaders will be allowed to warm up and practice beginning at 5:00. It is encouraged to arrive at 5 (or before) in order to be fully prepared.

Required Apparel for ALL Candidates (at tryouts):

Black or Navy Athletic Shorts

Plain White T-Shirt or Tank Top

Clean Athletic Shoes with White Socks

Hair should be pulled back out of the face.

Candidates may wear any colored bow and makeup.

Please wear appropriate undergarments so that your attire is not a distraction during your tryout.

No jewelry of any kind is allowed.

It is impossible to determine the length of tryouts until we know how many candidates will be trying out for each team. The week of tryout clinics, each candidate will receive a number that indicates the order in which he or she will tryout. A tentative timeline will be given so that parents have an idea of when their children will be finished. Candidates will have access to their phones in the warm-up room so that they can keep their parents and/or rides updated. Absolutely NO parents, siblings, friends, or anyone who is not trying out for the LEHS cheer program will be allowed in the warm-up or tryout gym. Once candidates check-in with the coach in the warm-up gym they will not be allowed to leave without permission.
