Mr. Linwood serves as the Lead Counselor for Little Elm High School. He has been in education for 20 years. Prior to becoming a school counselor, he taught all levels of World History and served as the Varsity cheerleading coach at MacArthur High School in Irving ISD. He has been a school counselor in Irving ISD, Katy ISD and Allen ISD, and has experience working with diverse student populations.
Mr. Linwood earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and History from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. He also holds a Master of Education in Counseling and a Master of Education in Educational Administration both from Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX. Currently, he is working on his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Prairie View A&M University. He is an active member of the American School Counselor Association, the Lone Star State School Counselor Association, and the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators.
Mr. Linwood is an avid sports fan who enjoys football, basketball, and tennis. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world to experience the history, culture, and food of the countries he visits. He also enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dog Kingston.
Mr. Linwoodâs counseling philosophy is student-centered and solution focused. He believes in a comprehensive counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Heâs excited about the upcoming school year and working with our students!
