Mr. Evans currently serves as the School Social Worker for Little Elm High School. Although this role is new to Little Elm High School, Mr. Evans is not new to School Social Work. He has 14+ years of experience providing case management and mental health support to students in schools, and in 2014, he won the Social Worker of the year award with Community in Schools-HOT. Additionally, he has served the past 5 years with Plano ISD as the Lead Social Worker for the central zone of Plano. He specializes in community partnerships and working with at-risk youth.
Mr. Evan’s first degree was in the field of music; he received a Commercial Music degree from Mclennan Community College in Waco, TX. Although proud of his work as a musician, he quickly realized he had a burning desire to help and serve others in a different capacity. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Tarleton State University and, shortly after, earned his Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Currently, Mr. Evans is a Licensed Master Social Worker. He has completed all of the required hours to obtain his Clinical License and is planning to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker very soon!
Mr. Evans and his wife have two beautiful children, Princeton and Maleah, ages 7 and 7 months, whom they love very much. They currently reside in Savannah, TX, and on any given day, you can find them spending time with family, hanging out with friends, or lounging somewhere near a water park. Mr. Evans is both elated and proud to join the Lobo famiLE and to serve as the school's first full-time Social Worker!
