Mr. Absher is serving in the role of Postsecondary Counselor for the current school year. Prior to joining the district in 2018 as a House Counselor, Mr. Absher served as a School Counselor for eighteen years at Centennial High School in Roswell, GA, and for two years at Legacy High School in N. Las Vegas, NV.
Mr. Absher earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He holds a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and a Master of Science Degree in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also a National Certified Counselor and is an active member of the American School Counselor Association, Lone Star State School Counselor Association, and Texas Counseling Association.
Mr. Absher brings a wealth of experience providing high school academic and postsecondary guidance and counseling to diverse populations of students. He enjoys serving and assisting LEHS students and parents with all of their academic, personal/social, and college/career needs!
