Mrs. Boyd serves as the House Counselor for students whose last name begins with L-Red. She has been in education for 11 years. Prior to joining Little Elm High School, she served one year as a High School Counselor at International Leadership of Texas and two years in CFB ISD as a Positive Behavior Specialist. She has also worked as a College Counselor for two years at Uplift Education in Dallas, TX and has taught various courses in Physical Education and College Readiness for six years.
Mrs. Boyd earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia in 2009. She also holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Psychology from The University of North Texas in Denton, TX and a Master of Science in Professional School Counseling from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. Additionally, she is a member of the American School Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association.
Mrs. Boyd is experienced with serving at-risk and diverse student populations, and she is passionate about closing the achievement gap in education and social justice. She and her husband live in Aubrey, Texas with their two dogs. She is excited about joining the LEISD famiLE and is looking forward to serving her students. Go Lobos!
