I’m excited to serve as the Postsecondary Counselor at LEHS, where I support students as they navigate the transition from high school to life beyond graduation. I’ve been in education since 2011, beginning my career serving the West Dallas community. It was there that I developed a deep commitment for working with at-risk and diverse student populations. I’m especially passionate about closing the achievement gap and expanding access and equity in education.
A Georgia native, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. I also hold two master’s degrees — one in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology and another in Professional School Counseling. I’ll soon begin practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate.
Outside of work, I enjoy life at home with my husband, Shawn, our newborn daughter, Emory, and our dog.
This is my fourth year at LEHS, and I’m proud to continue partnering with students and families as they plan for a bright future.
