Sakina Sitabkhan
This is my eighth year in education, and I have spent my entire career at the high school level. Before becoming a school counselor, I worked in Special Education as an inclusion teacher and taught resource science courses. My experiences in Special Education helped shape my passion for supporting students and helping them reach their academic and personal goals.
This year marks my first year as a school counselor, and I am excited to continue supporting students in a new capacity as they navigate high school and prepare for their future.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also hold a master's degree in Professional School Counseling from Angelo State University and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
Outside of school, I love watching sports, especially football and soccer, with my husband. I also enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, working out, and spending quality time with my family.
