Mrs. Funmi Nwokolo
Mrs. Funmi Nwokolo has served the students, staff and community of Little Elm High School as Assistant Principal since 2023. She started her educational career in 2009 at Irving ISD, and moved on to Lewisville ISD in 2015.
In her many years as an educator, she taught a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. She also served as CTE Department head, and on various district committees and cohort teams.
Mrs. Nwokolo did not take a conventional route to her career in education, and prior to entering into her calling as an educator, she worked as a software developer, a realtor and a martial arts Instructor. However, once she stepped into the classroom in 2009, she never looked back. She has a passion for educating and helping children become the best that they can be.
She holds a Masters in Educational Leadership (M.Ed.) from Dallas Baptist University, and a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Computer Information Systems from Hampton University.
She has 4 educational certifications, including Principal as an Instructional Leader, Technology Education, Mathematics, and Journalism.
When Mrs. Nwokolo is not at school, she fills her cup by spending time with her husband, two teenage daughters, and younger son. She also enjoys reading, volunteering at church, playing golf, and many other activities.
