Mrs. Funmi Nwokolo
Mrs. Funmi Nwokolo has served the students, staff, and community of Little Elm High School as an Assistant Principal since 2023. She began her career in education in 2009 and has since held instructional and leadership roles in both Irving ISD and Lewisville ISD.
Throughout her years in education, Mrs. Nwokolo taught various Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, along with serving as a CTE department head, and served on district-level teams and cohorts.
Before entering the field of education, Mrs. Nwokolo followed a nontraditional path, working as a software developer, realtor, and martial arts instructor. However, once she stepped into her first classroom, she knew she had found her calling. She is deeply passionate about educating and empowering students to reach their full potential.
She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (M.Ed.) from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Information Systems from Hampton University. She also holds four educational certifications: Principal as Instructional Leader, Technology Education, Mathematics, and Journalism.
Outside of school, Mrs. Nwokolo enjoys spending time with her husband, two teenage daughters, and younger son. She also loves reading, volunteering at church, photography/videography, and playing golf.
