Mrs. Funmi Nwokolo
Mrs. Nwokolo serves Little Elm High school as an Assistant principal (House Principal). She has been a public school educator since 2009. Prior to joining Little Elm High school as an administrator, she was the CTE department head, and taught various CTE courses at both Lewisville High school - Ben Harmon campus, and Nimitz High school. She has taught Digital Media, Broadcast Journalism, Audio video productions, Principles of information technology, Graphic design, Video game design, and Animation. She also spent several years teaching Taekwondo and Karate.At her previous school, she created and led multiple teams, including a culture committee that helped to rebuild the school climate and culture amongst students and staff; and a team focused on increasing English 1 STAAR scores by incorporating innovative practices with the English one students. She was also an active member of various committees including, District advisory committee, District leadership cohort, CTE program evaluation cohort, CTE future pathways committee and more.
She has a Masters in Educational (M.Ed) Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, and a Bachelors of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Information Systems from Hampton University. She has 4 educational certifications, including Principal as an Instructional Leader (EC-12), Technology Education (6-12), Mathematics (4-8), and Journalism (7-12).
When Mrs. Nwokolo is not at school, you can find her spending time with her husband and 3 children, reading a book, volunteering at church, playing golf or working out.
